Mexico Missions TripMC and Molli are on the trip in Mexico, 2013.
Wednesday we spent our workday at Casa Hogar Douglas. This children's home was close-by, which allowed us to spend more work hours helping with improvements on the property as well as playing with the children. We worked on some serious concrete mixing and laying before lunchtime. We were able to share a meal of chicken mole with the children and familiarize ourselves with their faces before games, dancing and music in the afternoon.
Thursday we returned to the same children's home. We will spent the morning 'deep cleaning' for them. for a field trip from their caregivers. In the afternoon we hiked an hour in 100+ degree weather up a mountain with over 65 children to a mountain waterfall and swimming hole. It was great fun and we are sure the caregivers will have no problems getting children to sleep.
Our flight leaves Monterrey about 1:00, then we will have not quite 2 hours to navigate our group through customs before our flight to Cleveland.
